Tourism in Tyrol experiences challenging times. It is the declared aim of the sector to offer guests a pleasant and safe vacation experience. This includes that the employees in the companies that have direct contact to the guests are well trained.
The Tyrol Chamber of Commerce has therefore launched SAFE SERVICE, a certification for businesses: Under the motto “For our guests. For us. For Tyrol”, Mario Gerber, the tourism division head of the Tyrolean Chamber of Commerce, presented the SAFE SERVICE initiative: The approximately 12,000 hotels, guesthouses, restaurants and leisure facilities have the opportunity to have their employees trained on distance rules, hygiene, contactless customer experience, etc. Learning takes place digitally on the smartphone with the SAFE SERVICE learning app developed in-house. As soon as a company has completed the training, it receives the official certificate from the Tyrolean Chamber of Commerce, which is displayed in a clearly visible position for guests. SAFE SERVICE is a 100 percent Tyrolean solution: Tirol Werbung (Tyrol Advertisment) supports the initiative, and the learning app comes from the portfolio of the Innsbruck-based company duftner.digital, which has built up expertise in digital knowledge management with the Institute of Microtraining for ten years.
